Active Seniors—stresses fitness, socializing, leisure activities, personal growth, and learning for senior citizens. Americorps—provides community service opportunities to the student body. Baptist Student Ministry—nurtures and guides students’ understanding of the Christian faith. Business Concepts Management—discusses current business topics and theories. Campus Bible Fellowship—teaches the Bible and helps students understand the historic Christian faith through Bible study. Caribbean Students Club—promotes the Caribbean culture. Concert Club—brings free music and dance performances to PGCC students, faculty, and staff throughout the school year. Crusaders for Christ—enables students to become more informed about the Living Word of God. Early Childhood Education Club—provides support and educational information for students interested in the field. Equestrian Club—provides students an opportunity to compete with other colleges and universities in horseback riding events. Ethiopian Student Association—enhances cultural awareness of Ethiopia and provides support for new students from Ethiopia. Evening Student Program—provides workshops and receptions for evening students on topics such as test anxiety, test taking, math skills, and stress. Exceptional Children’s Club—provides students the opportunity to work with physically, emotionally, and socially disabled children or youth and also to attend professionally directed workshops. The French Club—promotes the language and culture of France and Francophone countries. Gaming Society—provides an atmosphere where students can meet people with common interests for role-playing activities. Hallam Players—promotes on-campus theater activities and provides an opportunity for students to participate in the production of plays. Health, Education and Service Club—provides health education programs to the college community. The Hispanic Heritage Club—promotes an understanding of Hispanic culture. Honors Society—promotes intellectual growth and enrichment through cocurricular activities. Information Technology Club—provides a networking and information resource for students. Intercollegiate Athletics—provides varsity athletic teams for competition with other junior colleges. Kaleidoscope Club—promotes global friendship and understanding of different cultures. Legal Shield—provides information on legal services and issues for the campus community. Model United Nations—analyzes international politics and diplomacy. Mothers on the Move Spiritually (M/O/M.S.)—a support group that promotes the strengthen-ing of families. Muslim Club—provides Jummah services for Muslim students and teaches non-Muslim students about Islam. Nursing Pinning Ceremony Committee—organizes the nursing pinning ceremony. The Owl—the official newspaper of PGCC students; provides an outlet for student expression and reports activities of interest to students. Phi Theta Kappa—rewards and recognizes academically outstanding students. Psi Beta—promotes the science of psychology through scholarship, community service, and professional development. Psychology Club—broadens students’ interests in psychology through exposure to current innovations and relevant topics in the field. Radio Club—familiarizes students with all aspects of the radio broadcasting industry. Radiography Club—promotes and supports radiography students academically and professionally. Reflections Magazine—the college’s literary magazine; provides a medium to showcase student short stories, artwork, and photography. Respiratory Therapy Club—supports the Respiratory Therapy program at the college. The Spanish Club—brings the diversity of the Spanish language and culture to PGCC students. Starlight Anime Society—spreads appreciation for Japanese animation. Student Accounting Association—promotes an understanding of the importance of accounting in school and work situations. Student Art League—promotes the arts by sponsoring visual and performing arts events; enhances the creative aspects of the college’s diverse culture. Student Governance Board—represents the ideas and concerns of the student body to the college community. Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)—promotes free market economy and community service. Student Program Board—develops, plans, coordinates, and implements cocurricular programs for Prince George’s Community College. These programs include social, cultural, recreational, and curricular interests. Union of Black Scholars—promotes positive self-awareness, community understanding, and appreciation of the country’s black experience, culture, and contributions to society. Very Important Producers (VIP)—promotes and produces for the campus television station. Voices of Unity—the college’s gospel choir. Young Democrats—promotes democratic ideals and educates students on the values of the Democratic Party. |
