If you have been trying to become a police officer within the State of Maryland, you’ve probably already found out that if you have certified law enforcement training, your chances of being hired are greater. Police departments are looking for the trained and certified recruit. But, where do you get the training? Until now, you haven’t had many options! The Prince George’s Municipal Police Academy has been training police recruits for the past twelve years, and has recently opened its doors to qualified citizens wishing to become police officers with a 19-week comprehensive program. This program is a full-time course of study: 7:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., Monday – Friday.

Upon successful completion, student officers become eligible to be hired by law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Maryland. They also earn up to 15 credits toward an academic degree.

You will be training in all aspects of law enforcement operations and functions at the College’s Municipal Police Academy. If you’re prepared for a highly structured, physically demanding, intensive study of law enforcement, E-mail or call the Prince George’s Municipal Police Academy today!
