Ready Reference-WWW

Ready Reference page

The Ready Reference-WWW page is one of the important pages of the Library's Web site that should be used as a starting point to begin developing your research. This page contains selected electronic versions of Web resources that are available in print format. The sources are linked by title and are listed under a reference category. This page is accessible from the left menu and at the bottom of each page from the Web site. It is also accessible from the Electronic Library page.

Click on Ready Reference-WWW to begin your research. Next click on a reference heading to find a title(s) of source(s). One way to begin your research is to identify sources that linked under a headings such as:

Bibliographies, Guides, and Gateways

Another approach is to select a subheading with multiple links called Metasites.

Current Events and News - Metasites

  • Click on TotalNews to major news sites and click on the link to each site or search the site.
  • Click in the search box and type a Boolean search such as counterterrorism AND "United States" AND intelligence
  • Select the approximate link(s) from the news articles listed.

To continue the search strategy on this topic, go to the next page to search from a subject/discipline approach to find additional sources.
