Proquest is a group of databases subscribed to by Prince George's
Community College Library. The databases integrate selected full text
interdisciplinary publications. The databases include scholarly journals,
magazines, and newspapers. Currently, the Library subscribes to the
Criminal Justice Periodicals, Ethnic NewsWatch, National Newspaper
Abstracts, ProQuest National Newspapers, ProQuest Nursing Journals,
Research Library, and PsycARTICLES.
To access the ProQuest databases, start at the Library
Media Center's homepage and click on the Online Databases link
or go to the Online
Databases page from the Library's Web site. When one of the links
are clicked on to a ProQuest database, a screen similar to the one
below will come up.

To begin a Basic Search, click in the box and enter your search strategy.
To select another method of searching, click one of the tabs.

Now that you have an understanding of how to select
databases and begin a search method, you will learn how to do a Basic
Search and Advanced Search.
