A New Vision and Mission
In October 2004, the president’s cabinet reviewed the Strategic Planning Council’s recommended drafts of the institutional vision and mission statements and made some adjustments. In March 2005, The Strategic Planning Council forwarded the mission and vision statements to the College-wide Forum for approval. In addition, the Strategic Planning Council developed a draft institutional statement of values based on feedback from the strategic advisory sessions. This statement would serve as the foundation by which all members of the college community go about their everyday interactions as stakeholders and representatives of the college.
At their April 2005 retreat, the Board of Trustees reviewed the new mission and vision statements which were approved in their final form on July 14, 2005. What follows are the new mission and vision statements for Prince George's Community College.
